Hamsa For Emmett is an amulet by Judith Joseph. The hamsa, or hand of Fatima, is a popular protective image throughout the Middle East and N. Africa. Here, it is combined with portraits of Emmett and his family (including his identical twin brother), surrounded by guardian angels, to watch over him. The text in the border includes more angel-names.

The canvas is unstretched, so it is portable and can be unrolled and hung wherever it is needed.
