My work often deals with the traditions of storytelling from a female perspective. This particular body of work discusses the emotional quality of an archetypal Epic Journey through a landscape that is as fantastical as it is ambiguous. They are in essence, snapshots of emotions associated with aspects and events one might find on an Epic Journey and include some of the following: the excitement of thinking about an Epic Journey in its impotent and unfulfilled stages; excitement of thinking about your own transformation as a result of an Epic Journey; the courage you have to weave in order to start an Epic Journey; the feeling of not actually being in charge of your destiny; the desire to be young and small and carried that often can blindside you in the midst of an Epic Journey; the feeling of regret for things you may have left behind as you embark on the Epic Journey; the determination needed to finish what one has started.
