Our bodies and our spirits are connected. Birth, illness, grieving, and dying, as well as traumatic events like natural disasters and the Holocaust, raise core spiritual questions in all of us. On May 16, join Jewish artists, rabbis and spiritual directors at the Contemporary Jewish Museum as they offer workshops, readings, and new rituals to help us move toward a greater sense of wholeness.

The day’s events will offer something for everyone, whether you prefer to participate or listen, engage your mind or your senses, probe your own difficult journey or gain insight into a close friend or family member’s efforts to heal.

11:10 Mark Haviland offers a body-based workshop. Move your arms and legs; flex your muscles; connect body to spirit.

11:10 Chemo Siddur! Jewish Milestones’ artist will provide scissors, paper, glue and spiritual guidance to help you craft a page responding to your own illness or that of someone close to you.
