Alex Epstein

Alex Epstein was born in St. Petersburg (1971) and moved to Israel at the age of eight. Widely translated, Epstein is the author of three collections of short stories and three novels. In 2003, he was awarded Israel’s Prime Minister's Prize for Literature. He currently serves as a Schusterman Family Foundation artist-in-residence at the University of Denver. His stories have appeared in English in Words Without Borders, The Iowa Review, and Natural Bridge. His latest collection, Blue Has No South, is newly available from Clockroot Books.
