Jane Ramsey

Jane Ramsey has led the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs for over thirty years. Among her many honors, Jane received the Eugene V. Debs-Norman Thomas-Michael Harrington award in 2009 for "a life in pursuit of social justice." In 2009, Jane also was named to the prestigious "Forward 50" list by The Jewish Daily Forward. That same year, JCUA was named one of North America’s 50 most innovative Jewish nonprofits by Slingshot, a resource guide for Jewish innovation. Under Jane’s innovative leadership, JCUA was again recognized by Slingshot in 2010. One 2010/2011 Slingshot evaluator said "If I had to pick one Slingshot organization guaranteed to be relevant 10 years from now, it would be JCUA.”
