Revital Shiri-Horowitz was born and raised in Israel. She is the daughter of Iraqi Jews who immigrated to Israel in 1950. Horowitz holds an M.A. in Hebrew literature from Tel Aviv University and an M.A. in geography from the University of Haifa. A Daughter of Iraq [בת עיראק] was published in Israel in 2007 by Traklin. Horowitz hopes to publish a complete English translation of her novel, which is dedicated to all women whose voices are silent.
