Etgar Keret

Etgar Keret (b. 1967) is one of Israel’s most popular and celebrated writers. His work has been widely translated and has received international acclaim. Collections of Keret’s stories in English include The Bus Driver Who Wanted to Be God, The Nimrod Flipout, and The Girl on the Fridge. He has also published several graphic works including Jetlag: Five Graphic Novellas and Pizzeria Kamikaze [with Asaf Hanuka].

In 2007, Keret and his wife, Shira Geffen, won the Cannes Film Festival Camera D’Or for Jellyfish. A new film based on his stories, $9.99, is now in release.
