Nathaniel Berman is the Rahel Varnhagen Professor of International Affairs, Law, and Modern Culture at Brown University. Prior to his appointment at Brown, he was an international law professor for 20 years. His scholarship focuses on nationalism, ethnic conflict, and colonialism. Berman's recent publications include Passions et Ambivalences: le Nationalisme, le Colonialisme et le Droit International (Paris: Pedone 2008)

Since 1967, Israel has imposed a one-state solution upon the Palestinians.
