Rabbi Julia Watts Belser was ordained in 2007 and is Assistant Professor of Judaism in the Religious Studies department at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She received her Ph.D. in Jewish Studies in 2008 from the Joint Doctoral Program at the University of California, Berkeley and the Graduate Theological Union. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Talmud & Midrash, Jewish History & Culture, Religion and the Environment, World Religions, and Feminist Theology.
