My judaica is filled with insider references innuendos and humor. While seemingly irreverent the works are inspired by and react to traditional texts, traditions, services, holidays and stories. The art projects a sense of familiarity - a sense of being an active part of the 'family / club' - a closeness that allows me to reevaluate, reinvent and take liberties with the role, purpose and form of traditional judaica. In the work Jerusalem Souvenir Ken Goldman, designer and artist living and working in Kibbutz Shluchot Israel, combines kitsch, Jewish ritual objects and biblical narrative.
