Mim Weisburd received art training at the High School of Art and Design in New York City, the California College of the Arts, and the California Institute of Integral Studies with a Master's in Psychology with an emphasis on expressive arts. Expressive arts stem from the philosophy that the arts are intrinsically healing and meaningful and it is this concept that is at the core of Mim's work.
For the past fifteen years, Mim has worked as an artist, educator and healer working in schools, community organizations, nursing homes and hospitals. She is currently the Studio Manager for The Arc of San Francisco's ArtReach Studios in Daily City. ArtReach provides a unique arts academy environment where adults with developmental disabilities can pursue art as a means of personal expression and to develop new skills, connect to a larger art community and realize financial gains through sales of their work.
