The overall design is based on an Ethiopian Beta Israel amulet. It is encircled by guardian angels. Ethan’s family is represented, along with his favorite places. There is a portrait of Ethan playing his drums, opposite his identical twin brother, Emmett, who is shown playing his guitar.
